A lot is written about descaling washing machines. The advice is often to clean and descale with vinegar, soda, citric acid or even a dishwasher tablet. However, its effect is very limited with the risk of subsequent problems. These products usually have no additives (safe excipients) and therefore also dissolve fats. Silicone seams, rubbers and gaskets consist of grease! So it is not a good 'solution' to dissolve these fats. The device will leak, among other things, with all its consequences.

To descale your washing machine safely, we recommend not using citric acid or cleaning vinegar products.
