Filter coffee machine user manual

Do not use in combination with other cleaning products. If the limescale indicator flashes, this means that the appliance needs to be descaled immediately. If the appliance is not equipped with a limescale indicator, the appliance must be descaled when it starts to “hum” during coffee brewing or if the dip tube in the middle of the cold water reservoir becomes opaque.

1. Remove old coffee filters.
2. Pour 125 ml durgol universal (approximately 1 coffee cup) into the water reservoir.
3. Dilute the 125 ml durgol universal with 250 to 350 ml tap water.
4. Place the coffee pot under the coffee spout.
5. Turn on the device so that the liquid runs through the device.
6. Switch off the device immediately when the descaling liquid has completely run through the device.
7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 with the same descaling liquid used.
8. In case of very heavy calcification, you can repeat steps 4 to 6 again.
9. After descaling, rinse with tap water.
   We recommend that you rinse the device twice the maximum volume of the water tank.

If the descaling process is unexpectedly interrupted, flush the water tank with fresh tap water.

• Do not use in combination with other cleaning products.
• Depending on the degree of calcification, fill with diluted or undiluted Durgol Universal.
• If the solution no longer foams, but limescale is still visible, the active substance has been used up and you still need to add some durgol universal. Then rinse thoroughly with cold tap water.

Important comments

• Contact with acid-sensitive materials should be avoided.
• Allow the used descaling agent to cool before pouring it out.
• Rinse with cold water.
• To descale espresso machines of all brands, we recommend using the special descaler durgol® swiss espresso®.
